Day 5/100 Day Ukulele 2023 Challenge! Cuts You Up by Peter Murphy I have so many strong memories attached to Peter Murpny's music. From listening with friends, to dancing at clubs and seeing him in concert. "I'll Fall With our Knife" was already in my book and maybe I'll play it later in the 100 songs, but yesterday I decided to look up the chords for this cuz I was feeling nostalgic after talking with my friend Beth. This was always last song at a goth night we regularly atttended when we were teens. So here we are giving it a go! Any excuse to whistle! #GothSongsOnUkulele It's my first year jumping in on the 100 Days Project, and I'm doing so with Cynthia Lin's Uke Community here and on IG : @alysonmakesnoise #100daysuke2023 There really aren't many formal rules for this but here are a few *Rules/Goals I'm Setting For Myself* 1) It's a Jammy Jam! I'm NOT gettin' all gussied up- just havin' a fun & comfy time in muh PJs! 2) No more than 3 takes- unless the tech goes haywire somehow! What we get is what we get, warts n all! 3) With that in mind, post 1 song every day for 100 days. They don't have to be new to me or in complicated arrangements. Let's just play! 4) Remember: Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good! This ain't that serious and I need to let go! 5) Learn! Aim to be a better/more efficient/more technically confident self taper by the end of this project. Build back those finger tip calluses, and get back in the swing, baybee!
