Todays song is Every Day Is Exactly The Same by Nine Inch Nails. This is song has been in repeat for me for a while. Sort of haunting my dreams. Although sometimes the ups outnumber the downs it has still been rough the last few years. So let's shake off the funk and learn this one together. The ASL version I'm still looking for, so let's start with learning it on Guitar, Ukulele, and Piano too. Plus check out the bonus cover videos of this song. Let's get to it:

I wish I had a professional mic or something to record this with, but my iPhone works just fine for now I guess xD Leave a like or a comment to show your support. I'll give you a virtual puppy as consolation after listening to my screeching. Disclaimer: Every Day Is Exactly The Same was written, recorded, and performed by Nine Inch Nails. I don't own the song, I'm just covering it.

A Nine Inch Nail classic, "Every Day Is Exactly The Same" from the album "With Teeth" is a perfect balance of NIN's overall sonic aesthetic. Delicate one moment, then bitingly tragic in the next, but a masterpiece of a track overall.

Every Day Is Exactly The Same - Nine Inch Nails - Acoustic Percussion Cover
Acoustic percussion cover of one of my favorite bands Nine Inch Nails, pulled from their 2006 Album "With Teeth". Nine Inch Nails are pillars of industrial rock, and "With Teeth" is an exceptionally beautiful and dark album. "The Hand That Feeds", "Only", and "All The Love In The World" are some of my favorites on this album. The album was actually produced by Trent Raznor, an exceptional producer, and also features work from Foo fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
I hope you like it! If you do, give it a thumbs up, comment and consider subscribing for other covers like this one :)

Chords Lyrics below...
Song A Week 53 (Everyday Is Exactly The Same)
Just a way cool tune - driving, relentless and powerful...kinda like life itself. I remember the first time I heard it (In the film Wanted) and haven't stopped loving it since. The song is simplicity itself, but a great and a nice mix of synths and metal, but one of the reasons that it rocks like it does is because Dave Grohl is playing drums on this track.
Rough take, slightly out of tune guitar (you'll see why if you make it to the end) and the frets of the guitar are worn down to nubs, so there are lots of hums and ringing, but here you go...it was a fun one.
Enjoy, thanks for listening and see you next week,
Dan.

-------------
Trent takes us on another interesting harmonic journey with this song to the point where I don't even make a decision about what key it's in! This video features a couple of clips from a few years back of me playing this song, which was what inspired me to analyze it for today's video! Next week I'll be analyzing possibly my favorite track from Year Zero. I write down all your requests and I'll be working on them in the coming months!
CORRECTION: At the end I sing a minor 3rd but accidentally annotated it as "M3" which is how major 3rds are spelled. Dang it's super hard to get through a video without some mistakes y'all! :)
