The first music concert I went to was a jazz concert in a little club called "The Strand" in southern California (in the late 80's early 90's). I was there to see Wynton Marsalis, a remarkable trumpet player, and I wanted to listen to live jazz. That's when I discovered jazz is a gateway drug, it has a way of creating a lifelong addiction to music. The love for jazz can be so strong that drastic measures were required in Pakistan when western music was banned, even jazz was off limits. This post is about Pakistan, their music story, and their beautiful addiction to jazz.
