Sia - Santa's Coming For Us (ASL, Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, & More)

Todays song is Santa's Coming For Us by Sia. Born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler to a highly artistic, bohemian household in Adelaide, South Australia, the pop visionary professionally known simply by her legal first name—an Old Norse moniker meaning "victory"—was practically destined for a life in music. Growing up with a blues musician father, an art lecturer mother, and an uncle who fronted the iconic 1980s band Men at Work, she spent her youth mimicking vocal legends like Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder in her living room.

Her professional journey began completely by accident in the mid-1990s when a local DJ scouted her at an Italian karaoke bar during a gap year, leading to a gig with an acid-jazz group back home called Crisp. After moving to London to follow a boyfriend—who tragically died in a car accident before her arrival—she stayed in the UK to work as a background vocalist until the British electronic duo Zero 7 discovered her raw talent and hired her as their primary touring and studio singer, officially launching her onto the international indie music radar.

This song was officially released as the lead single from her first holiday studio album, Everyday Is Christmas, on October 30, 2017. While Sia herself does not appear in the music video due to her privacy preference, she assembled a massive all-star celebrity cast to play a picture-perfect, 1950s-style family hosting a retro Christmas party. The video stars real-life Hollywood couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard as the parents, alongside Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin, It actor Wyatt Oleff, comedian JB Smoove, and Hollywood legends Henry Winkler (The Fonz) and Susan Lucci as the grandparents.

Originally, Sia and Greg Kurstin only planned to write one or two quick Christmas songs for fun. However, the duo got so incredibly inspired by the lack of new, high-tempo original holiday music that they ended up writing and recording the entire Everyday Is Christmas album in just two weeks, choosing to focus entirely on newly composed original tracks rather than covering traditional carols.

This is a really good one to know for the holidays. There's a few versions to choose from depending on how far you want to stretch your talents. So let's learn this one together, the ASL version and on Guitar, Ukulele, and Piano. Plus check out the bonus covers. Let's get in to it.
