Todays song is Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin. In August 1968, the influential British blues-rock band The Yardbirds collapsed. Left with the legal rights to the name and unfulfilled tour contracts, Jimmy Page hurriedly recruited session bassist John Paul Jones, powerhouse drummer John Bonham, and a young, unknown singer named Robert Plant to form a new lineup. They briefly traveled and recorded under the temporary billing The New Yardbirds. The band's manager, Peter Grant, made one crucial modification before printing their debut album artwork. He deliberately dropped the letter "A" from the word "Lead," formatting it permanently as "Led". He feared that casual American music listeners and DJs would mispronounce the word as "leed" (the verb to lead) instead of realizing it referred to the heavy metal.
This song was released on November 8, 1971. Composed by guitarist Jimmy Page and lead singer Robert Plant, the progressive rock epic serves as the breathtaking centerpiece of their untitled fourth studio album, commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV. Musically, the track mirrors a heavy spiritual climb. It is divided into three distinct movements that steadily increase in tempo and volume—moving from a quiet, renaissance-inspired acoustic intro with wooden recorders, into an electric folk-rock midsection, before exploding into Page's legendary hard-rock guitar solo and Plant's soaring vocals.
Because FM radio stations blasted the track relentlessly throughout the 1970s and 1980s, generations of aspiring guitarists rushed into local music shops to amateurishly attempt the opening acoustic pattern. It became such a universal nuisance that music stores began posting literal signs reading "No Stairway to Heaven"—a running industry joke immortalized in the 1992 comedy film Wayne's World.
So let's learn this one together, the ASL version and on Guitar, Ukulele, and Piano. Plus check out the bonus covers. Let's get in to it.

Stairway to Heaven in asl
I chose to sign Stairway to Heaven for one of my final projects in Buddhism. I signed two quotes from Buddha in the middle of Jimmy Page's guitar solo. They were "Wisdom shall be our light by day, Right Mindfulness our protection by night. If we live a pure life, nothing can destroy us; if we have conquered greed, nothing can limit our freedom." and "Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." Enjoy!

Although I am using Low G tuning for all my videos, I am making TABs with both High G and Low G tuning so that either can be used when you play. As you may notice, almost half of my songs can be played either of them without any problem. However, some of songs simply do not fit with High G. For those who are High G ukulele player, I can make TAB for High G if any requests. I will only make necessary adjustments to where High G doesn’t work and will attach the TABs to Patreon Page Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin) . Ukulele Fingerpicking. Arranged by Ukulele Time.
